July 11- Harvard Road

Sunset from trail at Harvard Road
Dramatic skies on towpath near Harvard
Starting Weather: Partly Cloudy, 84°
Distance Covered: .42 mile
Time: 7:00- 7:21PM
We were in Cleveland today with Tim, and realized as we headed down I-77 on our way home,  that we were going to go right past the Harvard Road trailhead.  We decided to exit the freeway and stop at the trailhead.  It took us a minute to find it, but when we arrived, we saw that one of the trail safety tents was there.  We milled around for about 15 minutes; it was still quite hot and Jim was with us.  It was great to be there, since we hadn't been there since the winter.  We saw several goldfinches feasting on thistle, and lots of butterflies and bees in the wildflowers.  We saw some beautiful late evening cloud formations. We really enjoyed this little jaunt and vowed to return very soon when we could spend more time.
