July 9 - Butterbridge

Starting Weather: Cloudy, 74°
Distance Covered: .53 mile
Time: 6:08-6:41 PM
Ending Weather: Cloudy, 74°, Significant Mosquito Issue
A beautiful area, but a miserable time.  It had rained earlier and the entire time we were on the trail (well less than an hour) we were eaten alive by mosquitoes.  I had a small pocket spray but it wasn't doing much good.  We went back to the car in search of our main bottle of bug spray, but were not able to find it.  We carried on for awhile with the small sprayer I had, but finally gave up.  Between the heat, the humidity, and the shade, we were fighting a losing battle.
