May 14 - Craig Pittman Park
Today after work we went to Craig Pittman Park in Navarre and walked south. The trail is very pretty here, and a vast array of wildflowers added to the beauty. We spotted two new species of birds: the red-eyed vireo and the green heron. We also added another class of animals to our trail sightings: amphibians. There were a number of bullfrogs in the canal and we photographed them sticking their heads above water. With some of them, we could see the rest of their bodies under the water.
There are actually nice homes backing right up to the trail here. We were envious of these homeowners!
