May 4 - Navarre

Today we went to the Wooster Avenue trailhead in Navarre and walked south. We had been here before when it was very cold. How different it is today! Lots of birds: we saw some orioles and some sort of sandpiper on the banks of the Tuscarawas River. We heard lots of other birds, but it's getting more difficult to find them, now that the leaves are coming back. We enjoyed walking past the Nickle's Bakery, with its wonderful smells. Speaking of wonderful smells, the honeysuckle is in full bloom and is a delight to the senses.

Birds more plentiful
More able to hide from us
Their songs delight us
