Distance Covered:  1.47 miles
Time: 2:27 PM - 3:40 PM
This was a very special day.  John, Bill, Tim and Jim went to the Beaver Marsh with us.  About 50 feet in, we saw a heron in the canal.  While we were taking pictures, Billy spotted a deer back near the trailhead.  As we moved north, I noticed three young wood ducks standing on a log in the canal.  Next up was a tiger swallowtail flitting around some flowers next to the trail.  When we got to the boardwalk, we saw a snapping turtle swimming around in the marsh.  I know the guys all went just to make me happy, but I think they all had a good time.  Tim, John and Jim walked back to the car and drove to Szalay's Market.  Kay decided to hang out awhile and then drive her car to the market.  Billy and I walked and met them all.  We bought food for dinner and snacks for Blossom.  Today was a wonderful day on the trail!
