August 9 - Boston Heights

Bumblebee on Indian Blanket
Starting Weather: Cloudy, 89°
Ending Weather: Partly Cloudy, 87°
Distance Covered:  .55 mile
Time: 3:38 PM - 4:55 PM
Hot, hot, hot!  We went to Boston Heights because there is so much to see without even leaving the parking lot.  We did walk south to the first bridge - I-271.  We took lots of butterfly photos.  It's amazing to me how beat up some of the butterflies are now; some are very faded too.  There is an meadow in the area around the bridges that is full of wildflowers.  It looked so pretty.  It was hard for me to imagine our first trip here this year, in January.  Everything was white, and few signs of life could be seen,  Now the flora and fauna are overwhelming.  We wanted to stay longer, but were both getting too hot, and decided to go home and work on our photos. Autumn can't come fast enough for me!
